Sentencing Guidelines Worksheet Changes, 2021

In April 2021, the MSCCSP deployed MAGS: Version 10.0 of the Maryland Sentencing Guidelines Worksheet. Version 10.0 implemented the following changes:

Revisions to the Ethnicity Field
An “Unknown” option has also been added to the Ethnicity field on the worksheet and should be selected if the defendant’s Hispanic/Latino origin is unknown.

Revisions to the Disposition Type Field
Pursuant to the revised instructions regarding binding pleas that are deemed guidelines-compliant, the former “ABA plea agreement” disposition type has been replaced with “MSCCSP binding plea agreement”, and the former “Non-ABA plea agreement” disposition type has been replaced with “Other plea agreement”.
