Sentencing Guidelines Worksheet Changes, 2026

On October 1, 2026, the MSCCSP deployed version 14.0 of the Maryland sentencing guidelines worksheet. Version 14.0 implemented the following changes:

Revisions to the Victim Information Section

• “Victim Participation”, “Victim Notification Form”, “Victim Notified Plea”, “Victim Notified Date”, “Written VIS”, “Oral VIS” and “No Contact Requested” were removed from the Victim Information section.
• “Victim Impact Statement” was added to the Victim Information section to capture whether there was a written or an oral victim impact statement (previously captured by the two fields “Written VIS” and “Oral VIS”).

Revisions to the Offense Sentence and Overall Sentence Section

• The “Subsequent Offender Proven” field was removed from the sentencing guidelines worksheet.
• The “50% of Sentence Announced “and “Victim Court Costs Imposed” fields were removed from the sentencing guidelines worksheet.

Revision to the Offense Score Section

• With respect to the victim injury category headings, “no injury” was relabeled “no/minor injury.”

On March 9, 2026, reference to the MSCCSP website was added to the bottom of version 13.0 of the sentencing guidelines worksheet.
