The Maryland Automated Guidelines System (MAGS) is a web-based application that permits electronic completion and submission of sentencing guidelines worksheets. 

Effective January 27, 2014, the Conference of Circuit Judges approved the permanent adoption of MAGS through a gradual roll-out on a jurisdiction-by-jurisdiction basis.

MAGS is currently available for cases sentenced in the circuit courts of the following jurisdictions:

  • Allegany County
  • Baltimore County
  • Calvert County
  • Caroline County
  • Cecil County
  • Charles County
  • Dorchester County
  • Frederick County
  • Garrett County
  • Harford County
  • Kent County
  • Montgomery County
  • Prince George's County
  • Queen Anne's County
  • Somerset County
  • St. Mary's County
  • Talbot County
  • Washington County
  • Wicomico County

Authorized users can access the application by selecting the MAGS Login button on this page. 


April 17, 2018 - Update 12:15 pm

Access to the Maryland Automated Guidelines System (MAGS) has now been restored to the following agencies and jurisdictions: the State's Attorney's Office for Calvert, Cecil, Charles, Dorchester, Harford and Kent counties, the Division of Parole and Probation, and the Office of the Attorney General. Additionally, access has been restored to all users in the Montgomery County Circuit Court, as well as all court personnel users (i.e. judges, judicial assistants, and law clerks) whose logins are authenticated through the JIS active directory .

The Circuit Court for Wicomico County deployed the Maryland Automated Guidelines System (MAGS) for initiation and submission of sentencing guidelines worksheets for cases sentenced on or after April 1, 2018.
